The campaign gathered eight South Korean youtubers to promote healthy online engagement and an anti-cyberbullying message. Illustrations ranged from small elements, like emoticons and icons, to large illustrated ‘frames’ to accompany the outro of each video. Based around the album’s themes on the struggle between engaging with the real world and getting wrapped up in our online personas, I wanted to illustrate a figure who is blind to their outside surroundings.&nbsp; The final cover went through various layers of distortion, likewise inspired bythe album’s theme. The initial illustration was created digitally, then printed in three layers, rescanned, altered in Photoshop, and finally this image was printed on Tyvek and melted into a panel composed of recycled plastic by collaborator, Would You Love, in Seoul. For our opening event, I created a poster based on the facade of our studio space, where we have a bench for people to gather, relax, and chat with us.&nbsp; We hope for our studio to be, first and foremost, a friendly point of connection with other artists, and where we and they might feel inspired to work and play. Likewise, the illustration zooms in on this type of casual, but playful, interaction between two figures, sitting in front on our studio bench. Each illustration, inspired by vintage stamps, doubles as a postcard or note, offering a monthly gift for a loved one. I wanted to reduce waste and find a way to repurpose the images from the calendar, so each page is perforated between the illustration and monthly dates for easy tearaway. The calendar can be hung with an included metal clip or comfortably displayed on a desk.
